.. at the idea of trying Khalid Sheik Mohammed in Federal court in New York City?
Does anybody not know what the outcome is going to be? He has admitted several times to his crimes, nay, he has bragged about them. KSM is going to be found guilty and sentenced to die. By 2014 at the latest, he will be lying on and dying on the same gurney that Timothy McVeigh died on several years ago.
Do they have a problem that surpasses the fact that the Wingers have as much respect for the rule of law as does Dick Cheney or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?
I had to love this weekend's edition of "Wait,Wait, Don't Tell Me." Peter Sagall had this line about the prospects of the health care bill in the Senate: "It seems that the only way that Joe Lieberman will ever support health care is to create a way in which he can betray somebody by doing it." As Tom Bodett put it, Joe Lieberman is a pimple on the ass of progress.
The New York Times has a great article on how the lobbyists for the health care weasels have been feeding canned arguments to dozens of Congressmen, who regurgitated those talking points in debates on the floor of the House. I wish I could say that I'm shocked, but I'm not. I just wish the names of all of those pieces of elected shit became public, so we could all point at them on the street and laugh at them.

The only healthcare reform Joe Mentum would ever sign would be one that was "moderate" -- i.e., pleasing to nobody and resulting in lots of dead bodies in the end, just not as MANY dead bodies. If Joe had been a German lawmaker in 1938, he would have proposed a compromise to the "Final Solution": Send only *half* the Jews to the gas chamber. Hitler would have been unhappy, the Jews would have been unhappy, what's not to love about that "compromise"? Other than that it's serious f***ing evil, that is?
