I'm Just Saying
I'd give a lot more credence to the "pro-life" stance of the GOP/conservatives if I could see any real evidence that they gave a fuck about people in the fourth and succeeding trimesters. From children's health care, education, nutrition programs, you name it, the GOP's effective policy is "once you're born, you're on your own, bucko."

Even better -- Pro Life *and* Pro Death Penalty. Never could figure out the logic in that one.
That one is easy, though: Fetuses have not sinned. Adults are loaded with it.
Bizarre, isn't it? Frankly, these strike me as very sick people. The irony of protecting a fetus while ignoring the needs of the pregnant woman and then supporting legislation that promotes poverty, suppresses the capability to buy education by not supporting bills that would raise minimum hourly pay and on, and on, and on.
If a mom knows she can't competently and healthily bring a baby to term and raising it, she's is prevented from making the decision to abort. So she's forced to bring it to term anyway, in the face of poverty, hunger, lack of medical oversight and prenatal care, and possibly substance abuse issues- issues that the republicans and the crazy christian right feel should be persecuted, not fought or reversed. After the child is born, repeat the above.
God doesn't love people, he loves human cells.
"Fetuses have not sinned. "
Those who revere Paul of Tarsus would disagree...
