The article notes that FBI agents are worried about the reputational damage that Patel is doing to the agency. IMO, that ship has sailed.

The Iranian regime is one of the more detestable on the globe, but Trump has achieved a PR miracle: He has made them into victims in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Trump alternatively demands other countries help out in his Big Beautiful War, but then, three breaths later, says their help isn't needed and it's just a loyalty test.

Well, he's not an overlord. The rest of the world doesn't report to Trump. His usual routine of bluster, bullshit, lies and self-delusional spewings isn't working. Most of the countries he wants to show up, whose help he says he doesn't need, are democracies and there, Trump is less popular than gonorrhea. Those who are arguing Trump's point are being derided and, as happened in the Spanish parliament, being advised to go lick boots at Mar-a-Lago. No elected government would survive joining with Trump on his war and they all know it.

So now, the Trumpists are falling back to an old Hitlerian ruse: Blame someone else. Claim that the Führer was led astray by others, that if he really had been told the truth, he wouldn't have done the stupid shit that he did.

And it's somewhat apt that the "not Trump's fault" line is being peddled by a guy who is pretty much Nazi-adjacent.

This is what he said:

"I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been."

That's almost classic wife-abuser speech: "If you weren't so mean to me, I wouldn't have to hit you."

ICE, the Border Patrol and the other fascists are just snowflakes. They can't take anybody being mean to them. They can't take anyone exercising their First Amendment rights around them.

Like here, where ICE is pepper-spraying a middle-aged white woman who has the utter gall to record what they are doing.

These clowns are the worst at winning hearts and minds since MACV.

And, as much as everyone joking that Bovino was a Nazi Munchkin, turns out that the characterization was accurate.

ICE Murders Another One (Updated)

ICE knocked a guy down on the sidewalk, beat him and then shot him dead. They fired repeatedly.

NEW: ICE just executed another person in Minneapolis.

They took a gun from the guy and then shot him.

He was holding a cell phone. The photo that DHS posted about the gun is an old one.

This was a summary execution. Every ICE officer within 50 miles of Minneapolois should be charged with complicity to commit murder. In Minneapolis, you are more likely to be murdered by Bovino's goons than by anyone else.  

Not one dollar for ICE and the Border Patrol. Mark and remember: Every word from a DHS spokesperson must be presumed to be a lie, until proven otherwise. That includes the articles, conjunctions and punctuation.

Not one dollar or one vote for any politician who supports ICE and the Border Patrol.

Here is my warning to those evil killers:

Your guy will not be in power forever. The side of good will regain power. And then, we will come for you. There is no statute of limitations on murder. It took almost eighty years to bring justice to Nazis after the war; if it takes that long, we will still get justice for your crimes.

Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino Is a Motherfucking Liar and a PerjurerandThey Can Indict a Ham Sandwich, But Not Convict It

Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino, who led a series of increasingly aggressive raids across Chicago and its suburbs, lied about firing tear gas at protesters in Little Village and tackling a man outside the Broadview ICE facility, a federal judge said Thursday.

He lied repeatedly (and so did his subordinates and the government's lawyers). That should be noted in any case he testifies in down the road.

Meanwhile, Drunken Jeanine lost another one:

Jurors showed no appetite for the Justice Department's case against "sandwich guy," the D.C. resident who chucked a Subway sandwich at the chest of a federal officer, finding him not guilty Thursday after several hours of deliberations.

Border Patrol Officer Greg Lairmore received two "gag gifts" related to the incident — a plush sandwich and a patch featuring a cartoon of Dunn throwing the sandwich with the words “Felony Footlong” — which the defense team argued showed this was not a serious event in his life.

Lairmore had testified that the sandwich “exploded all over” his chest and claimed he could smell mustard and onions. But a photo showed that the sandwich was still in its wrapper on the ground after it hit Lairmore in his bulletproof vest.

So, yet another cop got on the stand and testilied about the facts of the case.

The one difference between the American Gestapo and the original is that, for now at least, their bullshit sometimes gets dragged into the light in front of a jury.

First off, it takes zero time to find out that a lot of immigrants fought in the Revolution. Without one in particular, Baron von Steuben, the British army would have likely wiped the Continental army off the face of the globe.

Second, and more to the point of this critique, the actor holding the flag in the DHS image is, himself, an immigrant, known of late for being a racist and an antisemite.

But maybe that isn't an accident. ICE and the Border Patrol have a well-earned reputation being brutal, racist and not giving a shit about the rules.
