The Iranian regime is one of the more detestable on the globe, but Trump has achieved a PR miracle: He has made them into victims in the eyes of the rest of the world.
Trump alternatively demands other countries help out in his Big Beautiful War, but then, three breaths later, says their help isn't needed and it's just a loyalty test.
Well, he's not an overlord. The rest of the world doesn't report to Trump. His usual routine of bluster, bullshit, lies and self-delusional spewings isn't working. Most of the countries he wants to show up, whose help he says he doesn't need, are democracies and there, Trump is less popular than gonorrhea. Those who are arguing Trump's point are being derided and, as happened in the Spanish parliament, being advised to go lick boots at Mar-a-Lago. No elected government would survive joining with Trump on his war and they all know it.
So now, the Trumpists are falling back to an old Hitlerian ruse: Blame someone else. Claim that the Führer was led astray by others, that if he really had been told the truth, he wouldn't have done the stupid shit that he did.
And it's somewhat apt that the "not Trump's fault" line is being peddled by a guy who is pretty much Nazi-adjacent.

I think it's pretty much a given that nothing is going to change T****'s behavior except for the worse. The bottom has not been plumed yet. The swamp of lies runneth over and full speed to undeniable dementia will result in even more alarming press conferences that even hyper tongue wagging Karoline Leavitt can't pave or putty over.
He started this war on a whim, and I don't understand why he can't end it the same way. Call it a "Victory", and bring the war machine home. Maybe someone needs to create a gaudy award for him that says "World's Biggest Winner", and then we can end this farce. Whatever it takes, we need to let him end this insanity. TACO, and all that.
