Heh. Heh. Heh.

The Feebies raided Mar-a-Lago.

Of course, to buy the current conservatives rantings on this (Miss Lindsey, Gym Jordan, etc.), you'd have to believe that the FBI is a hotbed of woke agents, that the TOFF has never committed a crime in his life and that the current FBI Director isn't the guy who was appointed by Napoleon Bonespurs after he fired James Comey. None of which are true. El Caudillo de Mar-a-Lago claims to be the most persecuted person in American history, which, no doubt, the shades of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. T.R.M. Howard, Ethel Rosenberg and Robert Oppenheimer would find amusing.

The precedent has been established.
Remember that and who set it.

If you're defending the guy who both boosted boxes of classified documents and who attempted to overthrow the results of the last election, Phil, then your argument is rooted in quicksand.

Funny that Dumpf set that precedent by violating the
presidential papers act.

The first guy to try that was Nixon, that was the
one that started that the congress then acted and
that resulted in law.

I'd buy your stance on the FBI, except they tried to hide the Hunter Biden laptop data and a bunch of other stuff.
Proving that they are not impartial, and are indeed partisan. Two levels of Justice when they administer it. Which is bad no matter which way they lean.

Having said that, fixing them is a better idea than getting rid of them.

Nice note, violation of the Presidential Records Act has the following penalties:

“Prevents an individual who has been convicted of a crime related to the review, retention, removal, or destruction of records from being given access to any original records.”

This is where the note that a conviction would prevent Trump from holding Office again comes from…

B, as someone once said, let’s look at the record:

And here’s where we come to the real dispute, which wasn’t just about whether the emails were fake or real, but about what they show. Trump allies have insisted the leaked material proves that Joe Biden was corrupt. If you think that’s what’s being covered up, of course it seems outrageous that the mainstream media wasn’t devoting more attention to it.

But that case is weak.

There were two supposed “smoking guns” about Joe Biden that conservatives touted in the materials. The first was an email the Post called a “blockbuster,” in which an executive at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma thanked Hunter for the “opportunity to meet your father” in 2015. If you’re steeped in Trumpworld lore, this was damning because of the theory that Biden had the corrupt prosecutor general of Ukraine fired to benefit Burisma, and Biden had said he knew nothing about Hunter’s Ukrainian work, but look, a meeting! (Apparently, it was a dinner at Cafe Milano that Hunter had organized, with about a dozen people.) This appears to amount to Vice President Biden seemingly going to one dinner.

The second involved a business venture that Hunter tried to set up with a Chinese energy tycoon in 2017 (after Joe Biden was no longer vice president). One email mentions that the equity split would include “10 held by H for the big guy ?” A former business partner of Hunter’s named Tony Bobulinski came forward to claim “the big guy” was Joe Biden. But a subsequent email from Hunter says his “Chairman” gave him “an emphatic no,” and a further email clarifies that the chairman is his dad.

So this amounts to Joe Biden apparently refusing some deal Hunter tried to enmesh him in. An alternative possibility is that Joe was not actually ever involved and that Hunter had just been throwing his name around. By Bobulinski’s own account, he briefly met Joe Biden the day before and after an event, and the former vice president only said vague things to him (and the proposed deal never came together in the end).

All of this was indeed covered in the press in October 2020 (I wrote about it at the time). So the real objection from conservatives is that they didn’t get the narrative they liked out of the mainstream media.

Hunter’s emails contained a whole lot of embarrassing and arguably newsworthy material about himself, and the shady foreign business interests of the son of the potential next president are certainly a worthy topic of media coverage. But as for the Biden who was actually on the ballot, there was very little from him personally in those messages (other than an exchange where he comforts his despondent, drug-addicted son). The emails didn’t dominate mainstream media because, at least so far, they didn’t have the goods.

Those are the facts.

Now consider how that micht conflict with what you said.

With that, a closed mouth gathers no feet.

Da: Believe that that was all if you wish.
You will anyway, as you cannot believe anything that does not fit what you are told.

I am beginning to believe you get your news from Colbert.

B, your Jedi mind tricks have no effect on me. As a matter of fact, my watchwords are two things, one from my father, who from an early age warned me that people tell you what you want to hear. You are correct that I would like for the account to be true, but where you’re wrong is that I have some sort of personal stake in believing it so.

The other is Richard Cromwell and his plea to the Scottish Kirk: “ I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible that you may be mistaken.“

Now, if you want to actually come up with a counter narrative that makes sense, where the dots are all connected, I’m all ears. With your attitude you might as well be posting in Free Republic rather than randomly blasting us for being zombified fools.

Try something new: Falsify the account I cited. Attack it branch and root, using sources you consider reliable.
As the kids say these days, “Make it make sense.”

DA, his jedi mind tricks... Oh, that was jest! ;)

If they were his tricks it would be jedi, otherwise
just poorly executed propaganda.

As to believing Alex Jones, proven liar,
believing Dumpf, proven liar, over 30,000 times,
the cults members, proven liars,
Faux News, echo chambers, they only repeat lies...

And so on. A list of people either issuing propaganda
that is provably false or repeating it without any fact
checking. Repeating that makes you look bad.

Again I use the line, boys and girls do your homework.
Even if you get it wrong you at least did the work.
Build a viable argument, its the difference between
a C and an F. Copying someones work gets a 0-zero.

The Biden laptop, no viable chain of custody, corrupted
files, corrupt file metadata. Begs the questions, who
had it before, after, and during. Useless in a court due
to defective chain of custody, almost less so than hearsay.

My brother hit the nail.
I will not argue with an irrational person.
Arguing with a unarmed person is circular folly.

Just more zeros.
