Why Is It That; Beruit Edition
Why is it that nobody ever accused Ronald Reagan of "showing weakness in the face of terrorism" or "being a surrender monkey" or "being a cut-and-runner" when, after a Hezbollah suicide bomber killed over 200 Marines, he ended American military involvement in Lebanon a few months later?

I have no idea, but Republicans sure did laugh at Ron Paul for suggesting similar ideas with regards to our involvement in the Middle East.
Well, Ronald Reagan did bring in a battleship and carrier group and pound some random darkies in retaliation. I guess that's all the Repubs care about -- that sufficient darkies have been killed in retaliation, nevermind whether they had anything to do with the action against Americans.
None (zero) of the Taliban fighters we're going against in Afghanistan have ever attacked America, and none of them ever will. Same deal in Iraq. So we're killing them... uhm... why? Hell if I know. But we have to keep killing them in retaliation for al Qaeda's attack on 9/11/2001? Bwahaha!
