A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

Knock knock. Who's there? It's HAL, bringing garlic and apples.
Pretty amazing that it's unmanned, and trusted to dock at the ISS.
Unmanned? The flight 188 pilots are looking for work I hear...
Sarah, the Soviets/Russians have flown well over a hundred Progress cargo craft to space stations for over 30 years, now. It is a proven design. The ESA is now doing the same thing with their ATV program.
Although they did have their share of problems with Progress and Mir.

The Progress collided with a solar array on the Spektr module. Then, the spacecraft hit Spektr itself, punched a hole in a solar panel ...
Yeah, Dennis. You might say that "objects in Mir are closer than they appear".
This incident is why I was a little surprised to hear a few years ago that Progress was making visits to the ISS.
Sarah
As I recall, a Soviet satellite country (Georgia?) had been building the Progress on board docking computer. After the fall of the Empire, the docking computers were getting to be a problem procuring; the 1st solution was to have a cosmonaut remotely pilot it in, with not so good results. No longer a problem.
