If

If you:
  • Think that the Bush years were a disaster for the nation;
  • You live in Massachusetts; and
  • You are not going to vote for Martha Coakley on Tuesday,
Then, arguably, you need to get your head realigned.

However, if you think that it is a good idea to elect a Birther, or if you are so disappointed that President Obama has not unwound eight years of Bush-Cheney criminality within one year that you feel a need to punish the entire nation, well, then do what you will and vote for this weasel, if you want.

I'd say that if you like the way things have been for the last ten years, and continue to be, then vote for Coakley. You're guaranteed that the Democratic leadership will learn nothing.

The best outcome may be if Coakley wins by a squeaker. The party of Hoover does not gain an automatic filibuster and the Dems get a good fright.

The best outcome might be if Coakley loses, and the Democratic Caucus grows a spine and abolishes the 60-vote rule.
(..and then I woke up...)

If she loses and a Republican takes Teddy Kennedy's seat, start ironing your black suit because the Democrats will be having a funeral for their lost majority.

People, by and large, get the government they deserve.

We've been getting it, good and hard, for quite some time. At this point, my ass feels as loose as a wizard's sleeve.

I do not foresee an and to that no matter who wins./

Change is clearly going to be slow, and it's not going to be easy. Both parties are bought and paid for. The only difference is that I think there are more individuals among the Democrats who aren't.

If Coakley loses, you can expect all sorts of rationalizations. But I think there will be some Democrats who wake up and realize they can't continue to go the direction they are without paying a price. Then they'll have to ask themselves if it's worth that price.

If she wins, at least comfortably, they won't learn a thing. That much is certain. And nothing will change.

The people who run both parties are only interested in power. The only thing that impresses them is if someone can take that power away. If you can't do that, all your protests and all your insults mean nothing.

Had to do a boroscopic exam of the colon, first order of business VOTE. Last thing I wanted was the Party of Hoover to get the value of a missed vote.

MY penny is that that asshat Brown or his cronies calls once more I'm charging him with harassment. Five or more calls a day for the last three days not counting those on the cell
are a bit much!
