Advertising for any purpose, other than the promotion of the sale of a product or promoting the business entity itself, shall not be deductible for tax purposes. Too understandable. They're gonna have to add a lot of language to make it hard to interpret, and to provide a loophole or two for special circumstances. Congress cant make unambiguous laws, now.
ReplyDeleteIt won't happen. The republicans will day that we should not be raising taxes during a recession. The democrats will not want the pay cut.
ReplyDelete@Marc don't forget a bill like that will have to take 200 pages minimum and include a rider to enrich a corporation in some way.
I was actually hoping that we could simply pass a law that says that, for the purposes of the first amendment, the word person shall mean a live human being.
ReplyDeleteYogi, such a law would not survive this court. That is why I think the way to attack it is through the tax law.
ReplyDeleteOnce one of those conservatives leave the bench, all bets are off. I suspect that Citizens United will be one of the first ones to be overruled.
