Doomed

BadTux dropped a comment into my post on "Does This War Seem Familiar." I think there is a part of that comment is worth repeating for all to see, so here it is:

Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it. But now we have a new theory to consider: Those who re-write history are doomed to repeat the real history that they re-wrote.

Very true. The neo-cons convinced themselves that the real reason the Vietnam War was lost was because of the liberals at home, not because the strategy was fucked up from the start.

And so, they have screwed the pooch yet again. And they will lie to themselves once more.
