Harold Ickes said Clinton reserved the right to appeal the decision to another committee, a warning that was met with both cheers and catcalls from activists at the meeting.
Go ahead, Harold. Let's make it clear to the entire fucking universe that the only thing that the Clintons care about, have ever cared about, and will ever care about, is themselves. Oh sure, Clinton won the vital Puerto Rican primary, which has about as much importance in the general election as Centauri Prime.
Some of Clinton's supporters have said in the past that she will bow out gracefully. I think that makes assumption that, so far, have not been supported by her historical record.
I want to be very clear about this: I will blame Senator Clinton if Senator Obama loses the general election to Senator McCain. In the same way that Ted Kennedy knee-capped Jimmy Carter, it is clear to me that that is the model which Sen. Clinton is following. If she cannot be the nominee of the Democratic Party, she and her supporters would rather burn the house down. If she cannot be the nominee, then she will ensure Sen. Obama is so wounded that Sen. McCain just has to finish him off.
I used to admire her. Prior to seeing the way that she has run her campaign since it was clear that she was losing, I thought she was a decent and, as far as politicians go, an honorable person.
I no longer hold that view. Clinton has shown herself, at least to me, to be among the worst types of unethical scum-sucking weasels running for office. She has campaigned as though Karl Rove and the smarmy GOP 527s were advising her. If I was content to vote for a sleazeball Republican, I would have voted for Dubya in the last two elections.
We had all better get used to the idea of President McCain. Thanks for nothing, Hillary.
