Why Palin Could Win
Morbid Curiosity Leading Many Voters To Support Palin
On a more serious note, TPM is defending itself from the charge of some of its readers that they give too much oxygen to Palin. While I do agree with TPM's point that Palin will not go away if we stop paying attention to her, I do think that both TPM and HuffPo can stop with the 500 pixel wide photos of Bible Spice.

Every time she opens her mouth, she puts her foot in it. She'd be better off if she would just shut up. We all would. She just can't resist that spotlight.
On the other hand, there's Todd.
Wouldn't be the first time the Enquirer took down a politician with Presidential dreams. Heck, wouldn't be the first time this century.
Something my daughter said to me gave me pause. She said that based on what she sees from the people who bristle at the idea that someone isn't "smart enough" to be president, they'll instantly like them. It's the contrarian factor. The anti-intellectual factor. The people who often utter "He ain't no better'n us."
She's right. And the more Palin is attacked as stupid or silly or things along that line, the more those people will support her. She plays into that notion that even someone like them can run the world. It's the same idea that pushed people to vote for for W. because they thought he'd be a good guy to have a beer with.
