The Internet offers a remedy, at least for those who are inclined to use it: There is a wide variety of news sources available. As long as I have the opening presented by the mention of various non-corporate news sources, I'm going to media-whore myself to mention my weekly local access cable tv show, "Left Side of the Aisle," is now available on YouTube. Just do a search on the title.
I like BBC world news as well as NPR, but if enough people don't wake up and vote out the Republicans we may not have many options left.
