..I'm happy to link to WikiLeaks.
But if you ever want to work for those folks, you probably shouldn't, as they are clamping down. Major defense contractors are blocking Wikileaks. The White House is telling federal agencies to block WikiLeaks. The Library of Congress has done so. The Army is trying to stop soldiers from even reading news stories about Wikileaks.
Fools, all of them. The data is now out there. As any parent well knows, telling a kid that something is off-limits only makes that something more alluring. The Obama Administration is engaging in full-blown locking and bolting the door shut after the horse has long ago left the barn.
Once information is out there, it is out there forever.
They cannot stop the signal. They are morons to even try to do so, for it makes what WikiLeaks is publishing look even more alluring to reporters around the world.

I am a lifelong democrat and union retiree, but I gotta tell ya, this Obama cat aint much of a leader is he? Certainly he is brighter than the village idiot we had before, but he sure as hell dosen't seem to have any balls. Either THAT, or he is just a hired hand like so many others have been...WIKILEAKS has simply shown what fools we have been, and looks like will continue to be. GREAT POST.
I'm pissed. I spent a long time what I thought was downloading wiki and when I went to open it..all I had was titles and no substance. Either I screwed up or they got to it.
Even your link goes nowhere. What won't they do in order to keep us in the dark. Obama in my opinion sucks.
I could say it nicer but I felt comfortable just saying it.
If you want to keep up with where Wikileaks currently lives, just follow @wikileaks on Twitter. Meanwhile I just went to the Swiss site you linked, and it's running super-fast. I guess the denial-of-service attack was against the old address, and the CIA hasn't yet managed to issue the contract to re-direct the denial of service attack to the new address ;).

While the government is at it, they might try to clean up the internet. I heard there was some foul language used somewhere. And maybe a bare breast somewhere.
They should probably hurry up. Don't want that sort of thing getting out of control.
Nangleator, they'd have been at it faster if ol' Ashcroft were still at DoJ.
BdTux, Twitter, ugh. Any platform that seems to be tailor-made for a mental-defective like Palin would seem to be a pretty evil development. I do not see how Twitter makes a profit.
Comrade, I primarily use Twitter as a blink farm -- that is, a place to dump links or quick snarks that I'm too lazy to make a post about -- and to look at other bloggers links to blogs or news articles they find interesting. It doesn't replace a blog, it complements a blog. It's a useful tool for getting links to new stories (or, in this case, to a web site The Man wants to suppress).
Nan, they've tried. It's like whack-a-mole, they go after one web site that shows a bare breast, and a dozen more pop up. You'd think that the U.S. government would figure out that the Internet finds ways to route around censorship -- like, say, advertising mirrors via Twitter -- but then, that assumes that anybody in a policy position at the Obama administration has a clue, and thus far I haven't seen anything to warrant such an assumption.

BadTux: "Nan, they've tried... whack-a-mole, they go after one web site... and a dozen more pop up."
Yep. My point exactly. And it's starting to happen with WikiLeaks.
"You'd think that the U.S. government would figure out that the Internet finds ways to route around censorship..."
Heh. Love the irony. Remember why the internet was invented? This is like Frankenstein becoming furious that his monster merely lives and breathes.
