Of Course Trump Will Find Someone Else to Blame

Hours after suggesting that the bipartisan concerns of governors about his assertion of power would amount to an insurrection, Trump abruptly reversed course Tuesday, saying he would leave it to governors to determine when and how to revive activity in their states. He said he likely would discuss his plans with governors on Thursday.

“The governors are responsible,” Trump said. “They have to take charge.”
...
Trump warned that he will monitor how the governors perform and signaled he might blame them if he believes their actions slow the pace of what he hopes will be a robust economic recovery.

“If they don’t do a good job we’re going to come down on them hard,” Trump said.
With Trump, it's always, always someone else's fault. Remember the slogan of the Trump Presidency: "I don't take responsibility for anything."

Meanwhile, the Treasury Department has been ordered to print Trump's name on the paper stimulus checks. They probably had to tell King Babyhands that it would take too long to print his name in gold ink.

He has only slightly changed his tack:

“I like to allow governors to make decisions without overruling them because from a constitutional standpoint, that's the way it should be done,” Trump said last Friday. “If I disagreed, I would overrule a governor, and I have that right to do it. But I'd rather have them ... make their decisions.” - The Hill

He'll "allow" Governors to act within the framework of the Constitution, unless of course, they displease him.

His name added on the memo line!? Nothing required, the President is not not an authorized signer, and for that, the system has to be reprogrammed and retested. After Donnie leaves office, the information that comes forth from the archives and records is going to show a dysfunctional and criminal Administration beyond anyone’s understanding or belief. Ulysses Grant will be rehabilitated, Warren Harding will move up a spot, Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan will see someone below them on the list of worst Presidents.

CI, Trump can never admit that he is wrong about anything. If he got Melania's birthday wrong, he'd insist that her birth certificate was fake.

Don't most people, taxpayers and Social Security recipients, use direct deposit now? I for one haven't seen a printed business check in many years, even before I retired.
How many actual paper checks will even be printed?
It could almost become a collector's item in the future. The signature of a criminally convicted ex-president.
What a nit though to not just insist on his signature present but to actually not understand it's direct deposit.

The IRS has a feature on its website where you can give them your deposit information if they don't already have it.
I think it's likely that most of those printed checks will go to folks too poor to have a bank account.

The governors on the coasts are sort of banding together, one could almost say uniting, their states to come up with workable plans for what to do about eventually reopening their economies. By George, it just might work...
