And, being astonished at how easy it was to meet the IRS guidelines for a church, he formed his own.
And so, I'm considering forming my own church: Our Lady of Metallic Cartridges. The lead prophet of the church shall be Rollin White. Other prophets shall be Horace Wesson, Daniel Smith, Samuel Colt, Eliphalet Remington, John Garand, John Pederson and, of course, John M. Browning- all praise the Trinity of Johns (can I get an amen?).
Every religion needs a devil. There are so many to choose from: Pete Shields. Sarah Brady, Michael Bloomberg, BATFE, Andrew Cuomo and, obviously, Gaston Glock.

In the beginning, there was the book of Elmer Keith, and the maturation of the combat handgun. And lo, Keith begat Jack Weaver, and the book of Weaver we saw the maturation of the combat handgunner. And so it came to pass that Weaver begat Jeff Cooper, and the book of Cooper brought us a holistic, thinking person's approach to weapons and tactics. And in the end, Weaver begat Massad Ayoob, and the book of Ayoob delivered the holy words on how to employ all we learned in modern America.

But, when the Blazer supporters break away, then we'll end up with all kinda cults, like the Church of Hydro-Shocks and the First Church of the Reloaders. Don't forget the non-case crowd, Church of the Shaped Propellent and the Railgun Assembly. This could make the Pope's struggles look minor as you try to maintain control.
Why would I want to maintain control? As long as my church is raking in the dough to do the Good Works of Our Lady of Metallic Cartridges (where target shooting is a holy sacrament), then the more the merrier.
