My father did 35 missions as a radio operator/gunner in one of those, 457th Bomb Group, Mighty Eighth, 7-'44 through 12-'44. I wish he were still around to hear that song.

Incidentally, the image shown when the R/O was mentioned was of the bombardier. R/O's position was just aft of the bomb bay.
