Probably not this one, who may have come up with a way to improve the efficiency of solar cells.

A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

There are several reviews of the experiment, which point out that what was reported by the press is not what the young man did.
The most serious of errors committed by the young man was that he measured the open loop voltage of the solar cells, the result of which is he did not measure the power being produced by the photovoltaic. There are several other mistakes that he made. Since he did not make a power measurement he was not able to sum the power from his configuration versus the normal planner configuration.
All that said, he should not be clubbed for these errors. He is young, inexperienced, and most importantly he is naturally inquisitive about the world and how it works and how he fits into the system.
He should be encourage to continue his studies hopefully with assistance from scientist and engineers in his community.
