If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

Killefer, the leading pick for "Chief Performance Officer," is out due to tax issues, as well.
Plus, we have a tax cheat heading up Treasury now. Hooray.
Do any of our God damned politicians actually pay their fucking taxes? They certainly make sure they collect every thin dime of our money that they can -- at gunpoint, when necessary.
All politicians are lower than dung beetles, and just as fragrant.
I am not inclined to disagree with you.
YaY!!! Tommy is gone...and so are his ties to Big Pharma and the Insurance industry.
Who is vetting these guys, McCain's people? ;p
Who is vetting these guys, McCain's people?
You have to wonder if the Obama Administration hired the same guy who did such a bang-up job on vetting Palin.
Although you must admit that the tax code is pretty damned opaque at times, and that many of us must rely on our employer to properly report and withhold our income because it's otherwise just undoable. For example, looking at my pay stub I find that because my employer-provided life insurance benefit is higher than some arbitrary federal cut-off, I am being taxed on part -- but *only* part -- of the cost of the life insurance benefit. Now, how the hell would I calculate that on my own? No way in hell, I would have just accepted the benefit thinking that it was all tax-deductible, and been unpleasantly surprised years later to find out that, well, no it wasn't.
The tax code is full of bullshit like that. So I wasn't particularly upset by Dasshole getting caught up in the tax code. I was against him for a different reason -- because he was an incompetent Senate leader who rolled over for Rethugs even worse than Harry Reid, and there was no reason to think he had gotten any more competent in the meantime. That, and his ties to Big Pharma and the insurance industry... what other reasons do we need to shoot him down and put him out of our misery?

I'd like to see them throw Howard Dean in there. He's a doc; he gives a shit about the People.
I'm still a bit bitter that he didn't get the nod in '04.
Cp, you're not the only one by far who want to see Dean in there. I think Obama shafted Dean by the way Dean was replaced at the DNC, but I have no doubt that Rahm Emanuel's fingerprints were on that shiv.
