The federal government has filed a motion seeking to end asylum claims for the family of Liam Conejo Ramos, according to the lawyer representing the family. The 5-year-old returned home this week after he was detained with his father on Jan. 20 and sent to a detention center in Texas.
The Department of Homeland Security filed a motion Wednesday to expedite deportation proceedings in the family’s case, said immigration attorney Danielle Molliver with Nwokocha & Operana Law Offices.
A hearing is scheduled for Friday, although Molliver is requesting more time to respond. She said she thought the motion was "retaliatory."
There is not a shred of doubt about it: This is retaliatory. The attention surrounding Liam Ramos and his family has been a great embarrassment to Demented Fat Nixon's fascists and they want to do something back. It's how he works, vengeance über alles.
Dementolini told everyone that they were going to deport the criminals and the worst of the worst. But that's a lie and has always been a lie. The "Trump whisperer" said as much:

DHS is buying up old warehouses for use as hidden concentration camps, where they can house and abuse people theyve grabbed up.
The Right is made up of good little Americans, who turn their backs on the horrors that the people they elected are perpetrating. After this is over, maybe the local officials will be made to tour the buildings, like the mayor of Ohrdruf, who shot himself after seeing the horrors he tried so hard to deny existed.
Remember this: In 1945 and 1946, we hung a lot of Nazis. We can do it again in 2029-30.

They're vengeful and stupid: after the media spotlight was put on Liam's family it's pretty dumb to take actions that will further degrade the reputation of the deportation program.
