More Majick Fairy Dust From the Donald

After weeks of vowing to raise taxes on "hedge fund guys" and high-income earners, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump unveiled a tax plan Monday that would cut rates across the board and reduce the amount paid by wealthiest Americans and corporations into the U.S. Treasury. It's the same old GOP elephant dung: When a Democrat is in charge, they scream "budget deficits". When they want to be in charge, or are in charge, it's "tax cuts for the rich" and "deficits don't matter."

The infrastructure in this country is falling apart. The Republicans, of course, all seem to want to spend more and more on the military and engage in new and better wars around the globe, all the while handing out more and more tax cuts to the rich and to corporations.

Where the fuck do they expect the money for the military and infrastructure to come from?

The answer is "they don't care" because they figure that enough Americans are of the mentally-challenged variety that the politicians won't have to answer it. And the bill will come due long after they are out of office (looking at you Chimpy and Ronnie).

As H.L. Mencken said:
“No one in this world, so far as I know — and I have searched the records for years, and employed agents to help me — has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.”

And, of course, this, too, by Mencken:
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents,
more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach
their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Which the GOP achieved in Dubya....but is trying yet again to raise the flood tides of bigotry and ignorance in the latest primary...

Another choice quote which most surely sum the mindframe of our Beloved Leader here on this blog:
"Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. "

If we cut "welfare" and got rid of the fraud that is SNAP ("Food Stamps") we could build all new roads and bridges in 10 years....

If we cut useless alphabet agencies (ATF, Dept of Ed, DOE, EPA, etc.) we could do it in 5.

And yes, the military could use a haircut too....

But the social programs and wasted agencies use too much of the tax dollars that should be going to infrastructure.
