Oh, the Humanity; Feline Edition

George, before:

After:

He tends to get mats and knots in his fur in the summer, especially on his stomach and inner thighs. Each year it has been a struggle to get them out; I have to get him in the tub and then use clippers to take a few out at a time.

Last year I got tired of it and had him clipped down. This year, he was not at all cooperative with receiving a haircut, so he had to be tranked.

The only problem now is Gracie, who is treating him as though he is a stranger, not the cat that she has lived with ever since she was 12 weeks old.

THAT is the exact haircut we got for my daughter's cat, Bitey. *(For the same reason.)

He's been prancing about like a tarty little minx. I swear, the cat is part drag queen diva.

This is why I refuse to be adopted by a long-haired cat. My North American Shorthaired Alley Cats have no such problems. Although they seem to be world champion shedders (their hair grows just as fast as a long-hairs, but it's shorter... where did the excess hair go?! Yeppers, into my full vacuum cleaner bag!).

We have a long haired and a medium coated, both of whom could use this kind of haircut. Neither of them really like it when I give them baths to detangle the hair, though the medium coated tortoise shelled fmaile will let me vacuum her.

I like the puffy end of the George's tail!

Badtux, George is considered to be a "domestic shorthair" by all of the vets who have seen him. He does not have the multi-layered coat of a long-haired cat.

DCup, ask for a "lion cut." If George let me take care of his knots and mats, I wouldn't have had to do this to him.

That's fucking hilarious how you left that duster on the end of his tail! HAHAHAH!!!

I bet he goes chasing after it constantly cause it looks in his peripheral vision like a big fucking muskrat is about to bit him on the ass! HAHAHAHAH!
