He was in his 80s. The end of the road was quite logical.
All the same, I'll miss him. Imagine, a non-egotistical but socially conscious and involved actor.
Damn shame (maybe) about that Spock role. On the one hand, it kept him in residuals, the equivalent of a lifetime annuity, because the show was always being broadcast somewhere.
On the other hand, once he was Spock, he was still Spock the few times anybody ever gave him a shot at a different kind of role.
