A Nassau county police officer was shot and killed by a railroad cop. Nassau county cops had responded to the emergency, which was a crazy man armed with hunting knives. for some reason, two MTA cops also showed up. One of the MTA cops then shot a plainclothes Nassau county cop, who was armed with a rifle.
The main difference between this and the standard "blue-on-blue" police shootings in the NYC metro area is that the cop who was shot wasn't a Black guy.
Of course, if you mistakenly shoot a cop, you're going to the Crossbar Hotel for a few decades. They'll probably offer free mental health counseling to the MTA cop.

From what we're getting, the plainclothes cop showed up on the scene after the others went into the house after the nut. He was carrying a shotgun when he approached. I betcha the MTA cop thought he was a friend of the nut, saw the shotgun and let one loose. Personally, I'm surprised one of the Nassau weenies didn't shoot him first.
