Erie County [NY] Court Judge Thomas Franczyk sentenced Muzzammil "Mo" Hassan this morning to the maximum sentence of 25 years to life for the brutal murder of his wife, Aasiya, in the couple's Orchard Park television studio two years ago.He gets credit for the two years he's been in confinement in the county jail. Which leaves him with a minimum of 23 years of hard time.

Hassan, 46, was convicted of luring his wife to the couple's Orchard Park television studio on Feb. 12, 2009, then coming upon her from behind in a darkened hallway, stabbing her more than 40 times with two hunting knives, then cutting her head off.
Both District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III and criminal defense lawyers say the chances that Hassan would be released on parole after that time are remote and many such convicts die in prison.Works for me.
Asswipe was so arrogant that he acted as his own attorney. His witnesses bolstered the state's case. The final result: After a two week trial, the jury was out less than an hour.

New York has some great prisons, I hope he gets stuck the rest of his days in the worst of them.
Maybe he will get a symbolic stabbing every night the rest of his life, we can only hope...
