How the corrupt ideological goons of the Bush Administration have trashed the Centers for Disease Control.
In short, if we have a national epidemic in the next several years and the government stumbles around like an addlepated drunk in trying to respond, you can blame that on George W. Bush. The Bush Administration, convinced that government is bad, has done everything in its power to ensure the result it wanted.
Osama bin Ladin would have had serial orgasms if he could have damaged our government in the way that George Bush has.
Science is. But under these incompetent and ideologically driven goons, science serves ideology. That has never worked, and two great examples are what one dictator regarded as "Jewish physics" and another, whose meddling in science was the reason why there was no such thing as a top-ranked Soviet biologist. But that doesn't stop the ideologues from trying, with the same bad results every time, which indicates that they are, to some degree, nuttier than a fruitcake.
Organizations like the Centers for Disease Control are large and complex structures, they take time to build right, but very little time to destroy.
And if there is one thing under this Sun that the Baboon King is good at, it is destroying things.

It could take decades to completely repair the damage Bush and his depraved right-wing sick-fuck partisan hacks have done to the culture of expertise in our Federal beauracracy. Huge numbers of competent experts have been shitcanned, and replaced by ignorant fucking douchehounds trained at wackaloon right-wing theocratic brainwashing facilities like "Regent University". The Federal beauracracy is now absolutely riddled with bottom-feeding Republican hackfucks, and not only are they incompetent, but they are vicious and hateful, and they won't be easily rooted out.
