“This was not just a change election, but a sea-change election,” Robert Borosage, co-director of the Campaign for America’s Future, said during remarks at the National Press Club. “This is the end of the conservative era.”Memo to Democrats: Don't be a bunch of fucking idiots. You won two elections and based on that, you're going to say "permanent progressive majority?" The GOP won the presidential election in 2000 and 2004. The GOP picked up two senate seats in 2002 and another four in 2004; they spoke of a "permanent Republican majority" and look where that got them.
“What you’re seeing in the nation is the emergence of a center-left majority,” Borosage continued. “We are witnessing the creation of a permanent progressive majority.”
The wheel turns, it always does. Recognize that fact, try not to break your arms patting yourselves on the back.
Don't be a bunch of fucking idiots. For that way, certain defeat lies.
