Saturday Speechifying

President Reagan started making weekly radio addresses; President-elect Obama is taking them to YouTube.

Y'know, it's apt that you mention Reagan in the same paragraph as Obama. Not because they have anything in common insofar as their political beliefs are concerned. But, rather, because both Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama possess (or possessed in the case of Reagan) political skills and instincts which make mere mortal politicians look like amateurs. A black man elected as President by as close to a landslide as we've had since 1984? Puh-LEEZE! Pull the other flipper! Yet Obama took what Reagan did politically and ran with it to new heights. Whatever your ideology, you have to admire the man's political skills...
