When they rig an election, they go all out to ensure a massive victory for the Chosen One.
At least the Russians are honest about rigging elections. Unlike, say, the Republican party, which still pretends that Bush won honestly.
Well, there was some payback. The two thieves who were most active in the two thefts, Kathleen Harris and Ken Blackwell, later both got beaten like bass drums when they ran for higher office.

Not honest thieves. Just smarter ones. Putin really is that popular, so even though his partisans went out and rigged the election, it was more just to do it, not because he had to. He'd already "rigged" the election beforehand by (duh) being a good President. If only our own President could have learned from that... but he's just too stoopid. Sigh.
