How much money will Trump's companies get from Mnuchin's slush fund? (How much money is Trump losing at his properties?)
The fight, right now, is over transparency. It should come as no surprise that the Trump Administration wants to be able to hand out a half-a-billion, in cash, to companies with no requirement to account for who gets it. The Trump Administration wants to hand it out with no strings, companies would only have to promise that they'll try to retain workers. (But no money would be available to help nursing homes and hospitals from the Mnuchin slush fund.)
In short, as Trump envisions it, he gets to loot the treasury to benefit his cronies.

An excellent point.
Also, how much of the pork in the bill has NOTHING to do with the current crisis?
The Dems jammed it up Bush's ass on the Katrina relief bill, and they (and some republicans) are trying to load this bill up with pork as well.
"Never let a crisis go to waste".
Both sides are guilty of this.
B., look at the Katrina bill again...Comgresscritters, not just Dems, crammed it. Time honored tradition.
IF you read the last line, I pointed that out.
I have an idea: When the goddamn Republicans, who downplayed the seriousness of the pandemic until doing so blew up in their faces, tell us that they must have a half trillion dollar slush fund from which Fergus can enrich his failing businesses with no oversight RIGHT THIS MINUTE, we as a party get our act together and tell them to go fuck themselves.
We need disaster relief, pronto. Economic stimulus, which will be needed as the second wave of job losses breaks across the country, can wait until it's drafted properly.
And, about economic stimulus, please do not use the word "pork" again. Spending is the whole point of stimulus. The way it works is one person's spending is another person's employment, and preventing unemployment is the goal.

I'm NOT saying you are wrong, but I can't find the "Slush Fund"
Not being snarky, simply asking. Where is it in this legislation?.
Apparently, the opaque machinations of the bailout fund have been removed. There will be oversight. Also, it now seems that no company owned by the President, Vice President, a cabinet member, a member of Congress or a close family member thereof won't get any money.
