In the Midst of a Crisis, Trump Keeps On Lying

Now Trump is claiming that he always knew that this was going to be a pandemic.

Of course, that's not what he was saying all along, when he was accusing Democrats and the media of hyping things.

If you're swallowing Trump's lies, then you should seek medical help, but wait for the pandemic to pass.

I was talking to the neighbor about Trump lying about everything every time he opens his mouth. I pointed out to him about the reversal of position about the virus. He said Trump was always forthright about the virus and was just speaking to the information that was given to him by the experts. Christ, not only Trump, but his followers are living in delusion world. I think it was either Doug or CP88 that called it a cult. Seems like they’re all brainwashed and it’ll take years of therapy to break the spell he has over them.

As much as I want to demand accountability by pointing out that it's a conscious decision every time to consume propaganda, I also know that doing so misunderstands the nature of addiction.

Sure, they all have the same internet that we do, and the verified information giving lie to their latest propaganda is only a few mouse clicks away, but connected to that simple action is the admission that they have been wrong about virtually every political opinion they have held for their entire adult lives, and I know better than to expect that to happen any time soon.

Fergus has merely stumbled onto the exploitation of this phenomenon.
