President* Trump heaped praise on President Xi Jinping of China on Thursday, blaming past American administrations for China’s yawning trade surplus with the United States and saying he was confident that Mr. Xi could defuse the threat from North Korea.I doubt that a seasoned Chinese bureaucrat, like President Xi, is as susceptible to flattery as Dolt-45 is known to be. But Trump, who famously claims that he is smart and knows the best words, doesn't know that.
Mr. Trump’s warm words, on a state visit to China replete with ceremony but short of tangible results, showed a president doubling down on his gamble that by cultivating a personal connection with Mr. Xi, he can push the Chinese leader to take meaningful steps on North Korea and trade.

I'm of average intelligence, and I don't know the meanings of a lot of medical or legal jargon, but I will risk getting a red card by stating that our current president is a jackass.
Forgive me, Ms. Fit.

He completely reversed his "China is raping us" stance in his zeal to flatter Xi into doing his bidding, something a competent state department would have avoided.
Sort of reminded me of Cheney believing torture would work on terrorism suspects because he knows it would work on him.

Hell, Doug, I concur!
The big trouble with dumb bastards is that they are too dumb to believe there is such a thing as being smart.

I was wondering how long it would take for the rest of the world to figure tRump out.
Some personal praise, some deference to his sale's pitches and other buffoonery, an overcooked piece of Beef and some ketchup.
I can see that China is and is going to, "play him like a cheap fiddle".
That seems to be what happens when the 'stupid and ignorant' meet up with quick thinking, Smart people.
He's gong to give away the whole farm.

After sucking up to Xi, he proceeded to bitch about China. I'm sure Xi bought all this two faced talk.
