Hannity Fans are Idiots (Mostly)

At least these are:
Keurig's decision to pull its advertising from Sean Hannity's Fox News show is not going over well with some viewers.

Social-media users on Sunday posted videos of themselves smashing their Keurig coffee makers, two days after the company said it would no longer advertise during Hannity's show.
Right. Destroying a paid-for coffee machine because the company won't run ads on the program of the biggest wingnut troll since O'Reilly.

That makes perfect sense to smash a coffee-maker that costs $50 for the smallest one, even at the big Blue Store of Evil. In some alternate universe.

So then they'll all have to go buy another coffee maker, at $30 or more for a cheap one or three bills for a good one, if they want to keep using the little K-cups.

Here's the thing: Most coffee-makers are durable products. You buy one, you don't need another for a very long time. The tighty-righties smashing their Keurigs does jack-point-shit to Keurig. But it does create sales for the other coffee-makers.

The only people that the Keurig-smashers are hurting is themselves. But hey, have at it. The stores selling replacements will be happy.

But as to the Keurig-smashers themselves:

P.S., yeah, I should be commenting on El Trumpo's coziness with strongmen, or his continuing inability to comprehend that Congress doesn't take orders from him, but why bother. You know all that.

Keurig has caved.

makes no sense to me to destroy the thing. Buy other brands of K-cups? Yeah. *Not* buy a Keurig coffemaker in protest? Yeah. I can understand that. But smash one I already owned? I don't see it.

I didn't wreck my truck when Dodge took the bailout either.....

Smart. Now the smashers can go buy replacement Keurigs.

Also buying some replacement MAGA caps! Those that burned them were probably drinking a cup of Trump covfefe.

My guess is that Keurig makes more on K-cup royalties than the coffeemakers themselves. Smashing your pot as a symbol of not buying K cups makes some sense. Otherwise it would be more sensible to give your pot to someone who would otherwise have bought a new one.

(sipping a cup of Keurig-brewed coffee as I type)
