What was especially hilarious was when they conned the U.S. Navy into letting them use one of their warships for their "In the Navy" video. This being even before "don't ask, don't tell". Several members of the Village People being out gays, and pretty obvious about it even then. Funny, the Navy never did use that video for recruiting. Heh.
