Let the Evangelicals make this a religious war by attempting to convert the Afghanis.
This needs to be stamped out, hard, and the soldiers involved, including the chaplains (if any), must be subjected to the maximum possible discipline, with full public airing of the proceedings. That may sound harsh, and it probably is. But if it is not done, then the Taliban will almost certainly cast the fight in Afghanistan as a religious war against the "Crusader invaders" and they will get a huge boost in recruiting and fund-raising.
This sort of stupid shit is almost guaranteed to cost some of our soldiers their lives, whether by a stronger Taliban or by Afghan locals not stepping in to warn our soldiers of Taliban activity.

Preaching to the pissed off choir here! Someone also needs to inform the dipshits that in Afghanistan, conversion out of Islam is called "apostasy" and is punishable by death. So they aren't handing out just Bibles...they are handing out death sentences. (Heyyyy...maybe they could get those to the RIGHT bad guys?)::::sits down on inner-sarcastic-optimist self::::::

The last guy in Afghanistan who tried to convert should be all the warning anyone needs not to get caught trying to convert more people.
