Orange Felon Can't Tell Me What to Do

Words of Advice:

DONALD TRUMP IS A CONVICTED FELON. CASE CLOSED.

"America, where we restrict access to vaccines and healthcare, but you can have all the guns you want." -- Stonekettle

"If Something Seems To Be Too Good To Be True, It's Best To Shoot It, Just In Case." -- Fiona Glenanne

“Speed is a poor substitute for accuracy.” -- Real, no-shit, fortune from a fortune cookie

"Thou Shalt Get Sidetracked by Bullshit, Every Goddamned Time." -- The Ghoul

"If you believe that you are talking to G-d, you can justify anything.” — my Dad

If something sounds good in your head, don't let it come out of your mouth.

"Colt .45s; putting bad guys in the ground since 1873." -- Unknown

"Tear Gas Tastes Like Fascism." -- Unknown

"Eck!" -- George the Cat

Karma may sometimes be late to arrive.
But it never loses an address.

I Am Shocked, Shocked, To Learn That The CIA Is Lying

So now it seems that, according to Senator Bob Graham, the CIA is lying about who they briefed and when:
Bob Graham just appeared on WNYC's Brian Lehrer Show. In addition to repeating earlier reports that he was never briefed on waterboarding, Graham revealed that the first time he asked the CIA when he was briefed on torture, it claimed it had briefed him on two dates when no briefing took place.
This whole "who got briefed when and was told what" kerfuffle is meaningless. It only matters if you assume, as do people like Juan Williams (on his segment this morning on NPR's Morning Edition), that the torture fracas is all about partisan politics.

It is not. It is about the rule of law and whether the Executive Branch has to obey the law. The Bush/Cheney apologists in the Hoover Party are taking the position that, when their guys are in power, that they have the power of a king/tyrant, that they are above the law, beyond the reach of the law and it is only when a Democrat is president that the president is encumbered by the law.

Those who are against the use of torture take the position that every president is subject to the rule of law.

Jesse Ventura has the right of it: Prosecute those guys.
