How About This for a “Microaggression”:
Go Fuck Yourselves

An incoming Massachusetts school superintendent revealed that his job offer was rescinded prior to his start date after he addressed two women on the school’s committee as "ladies" in an email.

Vito Perrone was offered the position as the head of Easthampton Schools on March 23, but was notified that the job offer had been withdrawn over his choice of salutation in an email to the chairperson and executive assistant, both female, who reportedly interpreted his "ladies" greeting as a "microaggression," the Daily Hampshire Gazette reported
.

I've been with a lot of other women at meals and in meetings; we have been addressed as "ladies" and nobody, but nobody, took offense.

But then, again, maybe we weren't a bunch of fucking snowflakes.

Unlike the Clowns in Easthampton.

Apologies to those whose actual name is Karen but they should have been addressed as Karens. Maybe he should have called them the "B" word so they would be legitimately insulted. But snowflake would be the most apt.

Back in the mid-eighties (while working for the FAA) I was schooled that the term “ladies” does imply genteelism and such, so it was a no-no.

Were you also instructed not to use the term "gentlemen"?

I think maybe they just didn't want him.
Another case in point is the recent kerfuffle over a principal being fired over the naked David statue... if you read the interview Slate magazine did with the School Board chair it is very clear that even if this started with one dumb parent, they were just looking for an excuse to get rid of her.
