US national security advisor, Michael Flynn, resigned late on Monday night amid a flow of intelligence leaks that he had secretly discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador to Washington and then tried to cover up the conversations. It's interesting that the Russians are the ones who are most upset by Flynn's "resignation". Also, Flynn's now been fired by two presidents, which is not exactly an enviable record.
...
Russian politicians offered a fierce defence of Flynn. Konstantin Kosachev, chairman of the foreign affairs committee at the upper chamber of the parliament, said in a Facebook post that firing a national security adviser for his contacts with Russia is “not just paranoia but something even worse”.
Besides all the Russian fuckery, Flynn was one of the more-public purveyors of fake news in the Trump campaign. He was one of the promoters of the fictional "Pizzagate" story, which resulted some programmable dweeb likely spending a good chunk of his life in prison.
Flynn's also being investigated for taking freebies from the Russians when he was the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. That had to have been one hell of a get for the FSB.

This is shaping up as the best season of “The Americans” yet— David Frum (@davidfrum) February 14, 2017
If you're an American citizen, you may be wondering: How does one deal with the ShitStorm Admiistration? Try Dana Milbank's regimen: Exercise regularly, spend time with family and drink a quart of Everclear every night.

What a pity Sterling Hayden isn't around to play him in a movie...
Whatever he discussed with our international foe was surely done to please his master and now he's discarded, like every one of trump's former partners. Hope the grift was worth it. He'll write a book, like Ollie North and all the other traitors, be a teevee star.
As far as I see Flynn is up (should be up for?) for a charge of Treason.
Is there now 'alt-treason' to deal with?
Also, when guys like Miller say "there should be no question" of dear leader, isn't that Not American?
I mean that our founders wanted to preserve the news as a free entity. Guys like Miller don't want that. Am i being too simple, again, to see that as un American?
I'd like to see this "basket of deplorables" declared Un American. Just like nazis are nazis, no alt anything.
just a wondering
w3ski
w3ski, stay tuned for the next post.
Flynn did have one thing going for him as NSA: Trump did sometimes actually listen to him. He's crazy as a shithouse rat, but probably very entertaining to someone like Trump.
I also heard that he might be in trouble for lying to the feebies, but that may or may not be the case.
No Everclear for me, please.
