interesting times indeed
With the throughly anti-Muslim administration taking office, I suspect that we are about to enter a new crusading era. The right-wing in Europe will encourage joining in, and we will see things degenerate. Expect a more militarized society, and a steady erosion of rights. The question will be how far will the decline be, and how precipitous? There will be opposition until a major city sustains an attack of a chemical, nuclear or biological nature, at which point the screaming ape surfaces and we'll reduce the world's population by a pretty good percentage.

Syrians will remember the destruction of their country and people as the Great Patriotic War.
