Donald Trump Probably Privately Approves

(Because if there is anything Trump believes in, it's vengeance.)

As you all know, the US abstained from a UN Security Council vote lambasting Israel for settlement policies.

Netanyahu is, of course, outraged.

Obama is probably quietly smiling.

It's an open secret that Netanyahu supported Romney in `12.[1] That was compounded by openly pleading with Congress to not go along with the Iran deal.

A politician who is less narcissistic than Netanyahu might have expected that the time would come when Obama would pay him back, in kind.

That time came on December 23rd.

Happy Hanukkah, Bibi.
[1] Because it's not interfering in our elections if Israel does it.

Pollard was lucky to be paroled.

I think Pollard should have left prison in a box.

...nailed shut and then pushed overboard in 40 fathoms, I presume? So as to cut the costs.

The shit's gonna be that Bibi and tRump are likely to spell the end for any chance of a settlement in the Middle East. Not that the Arab world refusing to accept Palestinians didn't cause a good bit of the issue, and various fuckery at the behest of the Orthodox community as a whole a good bit more. I don't know that the two state solution was ever really viable, but the Israeli one state solution will likely just gift us with a reprise of Apartheid all over, and leave a nasty sore that will keep terrorists recruiting for decades.

Nailed shut and delivered to the Israeli embassy.

Apparently Bibi has some domestic problems as well.

Beating the "national security threat drum" is a classic distraction move. Remember Bush's blinking the Stoplight of Death up and down in `04?

So this works as a distraction for him.
