The blogging gizmo is doing some really weird shit if you compose your posts in anything other than the "Edit HTML" mode. It is throwing in a bunch of funky codes and, when you attempt to double-space your paragraphs, you wind up with what looks like triple or even quadruple spacing.
So if your posts look funny to the eye, that may be why.
(Fucking programmers never can leave well enough alone. They always have to try to "improve it a bit". More often than not, they just fuck it up.)

Well, I can make a few comments about users especially after certain events at work today. :)
And here I thought it was my Macbook doing the nasty. Been thinking about migrating to Word Press anyway, but can't figure a way to maintain the archives.
I set up a Wordpress blog awhile back, just to play with the interface. To me, it was very user-unfriendly.
I'd set a trial one up there, Mule Breath, before you move over there. If you do, I suspect that the archives will be fine right where they are, just link back to them.
FWIW, when I converted to wordpress, it fouled up my images. It seems that it does not play well with picassa. Also, posts with embedded YouTube videos don't convert well because they have their own way of doing that. If you go that route, I agree with Misfit and keep the old blog as an archive.
