Don't these clowns realize, by now, that (a) almost everyone has a cell phone; (b) almost all cell phones have cameras built in; and (c) if more than two people are watching what is going on, that somebody is taking video of it?
The days when the cops could beat up people or shoot people in front of witnesses and then testi-lie about it are long gone.

Agreed but until these thugs with the guns pay the price for assaulting innocents nothing has changed.
If they were capable of coherent thought, they wouldn't be working as cops, now would they?
What I want to see is substantially enhanced penalties for all crimes committed under color of law or authority. As far as I'm concerned any cop who breaks the law deserves life without parole. At best.
Here in San Jose we have a good cop whose career is basically at an end because a girl decided to make a false charge of molestation against him in retribution for him stopping her about a mile away from her home as she ran away from home and driving her back to her parents, and I wonder why all the abuse directed against cops. But then I watch some shit like this and realize that with cops like these morons out there, the good cops are gonna get caught up in the backlash with the bad ones. So why don't the good cops put an end to the Blue Wall of Silence and send the bad cops packing? In the end, I can't help but see parallels between today's U.S. police forces and the Catholic Church -- both establishments seem to spend more time protecting the bad apples amongst their ranks than kicking them out.

What the cops say is that when they radio "officer needs assistance", they have to depend on the other guys showing up, so they have to stand up for each other and cover up the blatant misdeeds and crimes of one another.
There may be some truth in that, but it's probably mostly bullshit.
