Chowderheads: Department of Homeland Security

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division of DHS had a costume contest for Halloween. Some white dude showed up in blackface, dreadlocks and wearing prison stripes. Not only does nobody take offense, the moron is awarded the "best costume award" by the three judges, one of whom is Julie Myers, an assistant secretary of DHS. Read about it here.

What kind of imbeciles are running DHS and its divisions? First FEMA fakes a press conference and now this.

What level of cluelessness does it take to dream up that costume and what level of graduate level cluelessness does it take to give that person an award? And what Ph.D. level of idiocy does it take for an assistant department secretary to not only keep quiet (until other people complain), but then to have one's picture taken with the clueless moron and then take the position that she is sorry other people were offended?

And then there is this quote, by the vice president of the African American employee's group in DHS: “These kinds of things, incidents, happen all the time"

So DHS is rife with racist idiots and for that reason, we should shrug off any incident that doesn't involve lynching?
