Jail to the Koch Brothers!

Read this lengthy report from Bloomberg News.

When you do, you may wonder why the Koch Brothers, as well as the senior managers of Koch Industries, are not all doing hard time in prison, for the company comes across as nothing more than a massive criminal conspiracy.
For six decades around the world, Koch Industries has blazed a path to riches -- in part, by making illicit payments to win contracts, trading with a terrorist state, fixing prices, neglecting safety and ignoring environmental regulations. At the same time, Charles and David Koch have promoted a form of government that interferes less with company actions.
Of course, we all know why they aren't in prison: They're Republicans. Bribery, polluting, negligent homicide, stealing government resources and flouting export laws are all OK if you are a Republican.

Thanks for posting this...sadly, none of it comes as a shock. I'm a former GP employee, and remember their horrid safety record in WI mills...4 employees killed in a debarker, many thought it was a result of inadequate safety policy. After getting fined for storing tankers of chlorine gas 100 yards from an elementary school, one exec was quoted as saying it was "cheaper to pay the fines" than fix the problem. The residents of the town basically looked the other way because the mill was such a major employer. How many of these stories will we never hear about?
I'd like to see Lockup: Koch Bros as a new reality show.

Well, yeah. If you or I had committed a tenth, nay, a hundredth of the crimes that those two have allegedly committed, we'd be on Death Row.

Or at least we'd be sharing Martha Stewart's old cell at Club Fed, except for far longer than Martha occupied that cell.
