  2. It's not a quote.

    The Teabaggers were waving signs with a variant of a quote from Thomas Jefferson: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants."

    They ignored the point that McVeigh was wearing a t-shirt with that quote on the day that he committed the worst terrorist act on American soil in the 20the Century.
