Orange Felon Can't Tell Me What to Do

So, Only Now Do They Vet Palin

The McCain Campaign has sent a team to Alaska to look into Palin's background. (Palin has also "lawyered up.")

Excuse me, folks, but isn't that kind of investigative check something that they should have done before the Panicky One made his pick? Doesn't anyone in the McCain Campaign know about "the Google," as George Bush called it?

(Oh, that's right. I forgot: McCain couldn't remember that he should have vetted her before choosing her as his running mate because he was a POW.)

Is this the sort of decision-making that we would see from a McCain presidency: Decide first and then do the research afterwards?

Haven't we had enough of that form of impulsive management for the last eight years?

Considering this is any presidential candidate's first decision as a would-be commander in chief, I think McCain exposed the American public to his inability to make a sound decision.
Palin has more downsides than a used Ford Pinto.
And best of all, she's forcing the intolerant fundamentalist Christian wingnuts to make excuses for her I'm sure they find thoroughly repugnant.
BOO-ya!

I'm sure the tabloids will be up there investigating too. Birth records are usually public, so they're gonna be all over her county clerk to see the names on Trig's certificate...and they'll send paparazzi after Bristol to get pictures of her tummy.

Sandy Underpants at the Aristocrats made a good point - at this time, it's not longer vetting! It's damage control!
