That's bad. My guess is that a turbine disc burst, and the fragment(s) severed the front spar. With the spar destroyed the wing folded and the fuel was released and caught fire. I wonder if anyone survived.

A quick search reports 2 of the 5 crewmen were killed. Engine fire in a left engine caused the crew to attempt to abort and the aircraft left the runway and exploded...typical strangely sequenced new story about an aviation accident. Translating, perhaps an engine event caused the suggested fuel leak that severed the wing spar and slewed the a/c off the runway. Kinda a miracle if 3 people got out too. All the reports rely on Russian sources.
