The View From 2100
I believe that when historians look back on this time from the distance of a century, they will be amazed that Richard Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld were walking around as free men, rather than having been either imprisoned or shot for war crimes (warmongering) and crimes against humanity (torture).

Pick folks in 1916 you'd have jailed. Why weren't they? Who's to say in 2100 the world will be more like 1916 than like 2016? You make assumption of progression of trends that are not necessarily inevitable and could easily reverse.
Doesn't Cheneys outing of the CIA agent qualify as treason ?

I'm not sure about Cheney - don't you have to cut off his head and stuff a holy wafer in his mouth to properly keep him dead?
