This is how I understand it went:
Some asshole* in the state legislature proposed raising the minimum age for getting a concealed carry permit to age 25. Some other assholes said: "Oh, yeah? We see your age change and raise you- we'll lower it to 19 and make open carry legal everywhere that concealed carry is legal. Whaddya think of that?"
And now it's the law.
I sort of am in favor of open carry laws, if only to stop the hoplophobic po-po from arresting people for "brandishing" because the cop gets a glimpse of a concealed handgun. But when assholes like these clowns or these two idiots come into play, then I am open to changing my mind about the wisdom of permitting open carry.

as a Misery and St Louis county resident I am sorta for this-but I don't open carry. Don't like to advertise. That said should my jacket be blown open on a windy day, I don't have to worry as much.
So, zooming in on the Smashburger picture, that sure looks like the safety is off. Am I seeing that right? I know they are idiots, but that's surely a whole new level.
Oy...you're right. The safety IS off in that picture. Though the shotgun with the display sticker still on the stock is a lesser level of fail, but still.
makes concealed carry less fussy with printing and accidental shows.
As to advertising you have, not a good strategic plan.
Eck!
CP88, that one idiot might have had the chamber empty.
Comrade, I certainly hope so...but no bets either way. It's just stupid because you ALWAYS assume a gun is loaded (as you well know). Of course, they've already abandoned their guns to whoever grabs them first...
Used to work on an AFB where the cafeteria had a simple rack for security guards to lean their weapons on while they ate. One day somebody bumped it and half a dozen loaded M-16s clattered to the floor...
