Hey Diddle Diddle, Straight Up the Middle

Happy 235th to the United States Marine Corps.


Semper Fi, ladies and Gentlemen.

When I was in fourth grade, one of the teachers had been a Marine in the war. She made us all sing and memorize the Marines' Hymn. The second verse is hazy for me, but I still know the last one.

My Da was a WW2 Marine, he never fired a shot in anger and drove amputees around Treasure Island and the local Navy bases..
His Brother was an army Telephone Technician...both lucky
